Seen here in visible light, the North American Nebula strangely resembles its namesake continent. Expanding our view to include infrared light, the dark dust lanes and concealed stars glow in red colors while the continental gas clouds shift to an ocean-like blue. Pushing entirely into the infrared spectrum, we see even more detail in the convoluted dust clouds.
The ultraviolet glow from massive young stars heats the gas and sculpts the dust clouds into fantastic shapes throughout this composite of visible and infrared light. The hot gas, rendered in blue, fills the spaces between the denser dusty regions that appear red.
This dramatic cluster of baby stars can only be found in infrared images. The stars are forming within dense dust filaments in the "Gulf of Mexico" region. The dusty cocoons around these protostars glow red in this expanded infrared view.
A similar, though smaller, filament of baby stars can be found nearby, in an area known as the Pelican Nebula. Picking out the red protostars is easy in the full infrared view.
Combining infrared data from NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope with light from other parts of the spectrum gives astronomers a more complete picture of star formation. Each different combination of observations provides more insight into how one generation of stars can give rise to the next.

irritated, and tries again, and still gets no response. As far as Coughlan trying to stir up shit with other Youtubers,... sometimes, maybe, but usually he just gives his remarks
on other videos like every other YouTuber out there. And he does tend to play devils advocate. He won't choose a side, if both are in the wrong.
Talking to the first caller, TF mentions that division among Atheists has a negitave impact on Atheism in general. That is where he differs from most of the Atheists I know.
Atheism and Rationalism is ABOUT division. It does not mean we have to hate each other, but we need to have out own opinions after sorting through the information. We
don't have to come out left, or right, we just need our own opinion. He himself talks about that specifically when talking about creationists vs evolution. He speaks about
creationists befrauding people by saying something is either created or conjured by chance, and there is no other option. Well... the same goes for pretty much everything in
life, and Rationalists especially need to remember that. We can't all take a single side. If we did, science would never be where it is today.
And for my last thought... Someone told a story of how their mother cut contact because they wouldn't let her preach to their daughter. I have actually thought of this quite a bit. I am from a family of Born Agains. I, obviously, am an Atheist. When I have a child, it WILL NOT grow up a theist of any sort. No one from my family will be allowed to preach to it ever. It is likely that certain members, at least one, will say that I have no choice but to let them. It is sad, because I do care about every member of my family, but I WILL break ties to anyone who defies that rule, no matter how much I care for them. Just because they don't know any better does not mean I will have to let it happen. When my child reaches an age where it wishes to choose, I will give it my blessing, regardless of which path it takes, but it will not be the choice of those closest to it.

Unfortunately, this video was a little rushed and I didn't have time to go back and fix a couple glitches in the audio/video, as well as correct some grammatical errors. When it comes to Anti-Evolution groups among the religious, there are many alleged causes. Some popular views on this issue are that its a conflict of Dogma with Fact, that its a remnant of the old battle between Religion and Science, or that it is a problem of ignorance. Without denying any other proposed cause, I present in this video my views on the deep causes of the Anti-Evolution rhetoric.

There is a revolution happening right now in this world. For the first time in history, we actually have the tools to counter the trillions of dollars of propaganda put out by theists. "Closet Atheists" need to get off the sidelines and into the game. The evolution of our society quite literally hangs in the balance, so what are you bitches waiting for?

Discovering Religion: Ep 20 - Secular vs. Biblical Morality

The twentieth installment of my original series, "Discovering Religion". This episode begins the miniseries on morality by comparing and contrasting concepts like subjective/objective and secular/biblical moralities. Now that we have exposed God's true moral nature and found our sense of right and wrong comes from somewhere outside the Bible, we can begin to explore the possible evolutionary origins of morality and how science informs our shared principles of conduct. Christians and other monotheists absolutely HATE the idea that morality can be based in science and I am very much looking forward to producing these episodes. However, please note my videos are extremely time-consuming to produce and unfortunately I do not have a lot of free time. I try make videos as often as I can, so I hope everyone understands why such time passes between episodes. Thank you all for your support of this series, I very humbled by all the attention my channels has been getting recently. I very much appreciate your interest in what I have to say!
